It all started when my son wanted to be Poe Dameron. Then I got to thinking that it would be cool to have an X-Wing to go with his Poe costume. That’s about as much thought I gave it, other than mentioning it to my son.
Right before Halloween he asked when his X-Wing would be done. So, off to work I went. I made the skeleton out of PVC pipe and covered it with cardboard. Then, I covered the cardboard with black foam sheets. I did a little painting and added some LEDs in the gun barrels and some straps for my son to carry it with and it was done.
Minus the multiple other glue gun burns, it was fun!
