The Edward Scissor Hands hands, boots and wig were purchased at a costume shop. The wig required some trimming so that my son could see and so that it looked more like the character.
For the top we used a tight fitting long sleeve shirt and then added a black mesh shirt over it. I sewed black elastic straps onto belt buckles and then sewed each of them onto the mesh shirt. I then sewed an elastic band with another belt buckle on it to be used around the thigh and we added some studded belts to the black jeans.
The make up is just very light ivory with deep kohl pencil and shadow used around the eyes.
My son enjoyed wearing the Edward Scissor Hands costume and won 1st place at his school’s costume contest too!
I would love to do that for Halloween this year… But my dad is wondering how expensive and how complicated it was to make.
