Everything on this Homemade Flamingo Costume is completely handmade and bought at either Hobby Lobby or Joann’s. The body suit is made from pink panne fabric. I found this very good to work with because it’s stretchy so I didn’t have to make the measurements exactly right. The skirt is a variation of a tutu and very simple to make. I bought two different colors of boas, cut them, then hot glued the strips to a piece of elastic. The cuffs on my ankles were also hot glued to a piece of elastic. I had a pair for my wrists too but I’m not sure where they were when the picture was taken. I definitely suggest making a mask to really pull off the flamingo look. The good thing about a mask on a stick is that it can be used for pictures but then out of my face for the rest of the night. I found that it worked best slipped in my skirt like a sword.
