Each year a group of eight of us have to come up with a unique costume idea for an event we have called the “Beaver Convention”. I won’t get into the convention itself, but the idea we chose this time was “Beaver Herders”, a male celebrity escort service. We had the likes of Hugh Hefner, Gene Simmons, Austin Powers, Fabio, Ty Pennington (Extreme Home Makeover), Donald Trump, Fonzie and Ron Jeremy. It was hilarious considering we’re all women…
Anyway, I was Gene Simmons, so I took a cream body suit and attached chest hair. Took chain and attached it over my hairy chest. I bought black spandex and tall boots. I cut out white teeth from bristol board at attached it to the toes of the boots, and used my children’s safety knee & elbow pads, and covered them with cooler bag foil.
I had a black wig that I cut to suit, and put a ponytail above my head. The rest was my fabulous make up job, done freehand, looking at a picture of him. I borrowed my son’s toy guitar, and sucked on a ton of red candies to turn my tongue red…
