The five of us started our girl group costume idea with fabric in our personally picked sauce packet colors. This fabric was purchased from a local craft store. We each purchased 2 yards and began fitting and pinning. After fitting, cutting and hemming front and back pieces, we then laced them together with ribbon. We did this by cutting slits along the sides and lacing like you would a shoe lace.
The sauce names were made using white fabric and iron on adhesive. We ironed the paper onto the fabric, then cut out the letters, and VIOLA! we had titles! Our slogan patches were made using the same fabric and iron on adhesive. We wrote our saucy sayings in black puffy paint! The taco bell logo and “think outside the bun” logos were printed on iron-on paper and applied appropriately. We paired these awesome homemade costumes with fabric head wraps, tan legs and nude heels.
