Coolest Grimace from McDonald’s Costume

I’ve always wanted to make a Halloween costume from one of the McDonald’s characters. It took me awhile but I settled on a Grimace from McDonald’s Costume. As I was making the costume, I decided to add a twist to the costume and made him Grimace’s cousin from Mexico, Pedro.

So I fitted him with a sombrero hat and all. I bought the fabric from a local fabric store and put it all together in one day. I’ll admit, before I began, I had my doubts, but I pulled it off. Underneath, I designed it with two circular wires where the smaller of the two had straps so it could rest on my shoulders.

Then I wrapped two layers of fabric around the two wires like a cone. Between the two fabrics, I stuffed the bottom with pillow stuffing to give it a puffy look. Made the arms and legs from foam. The feet were actually puppy dog looking house shoes that I just covered with the purple fabric.

Of course, I couldn’t forget the mustache, which was made from some black, shaggy fabric.
