I got the idea from something similar I saw on this site for a headless Halloween costume. We used a small backpack and used an extra long telescope handle that attached to the backpack.
We secured it with a belt through the straps to around my sons torso. A swim noodle was used for the arms and a pretzel jug for the jar. We used a plug in pumpkin for the head and inserted a string of led lights. We added a skeleton mask and hood to make it extra scary. I initially had my son’s face painted kinda creepy which looked really cool but it was way to much for my son, he wanted to take it all off. I think it may have scared him.
He loved having the coolest headless Halloween costume and all the attention he received!
HOW DID YOU GET THE LED LIGHTS TO WORK?
My guess is they used battery operated lights.. I LOVE this whole concept, but I’m unsure of my son’s arms not being “out” of the costume… anyone have any suggestions?
I just bought glow stick balloons that I am putting under the mask. They also have glow sticks or battery operated lights.
how did you get the pretzel jug to stick to the jacket
