It all began by surfing the web and seeing someone else with the same Headless Halloween costume idea from a few years ago. I thought to myself I should try to do that so I did and this is what I came up with.
This costume has been in the works since August. My mother and my boyfriend both helped me make it. I bought the bust/mannequin off of Craigslist. I bought the main dress on eBay along with the wig, but the long part of the dress was made by my mother.
The hands are made by stuffing a pair of gloves and sewing them to the arms of the dress. The bust is held up by a child rolling backpack. My boyfriend drilled holes in the bust and we fit the backpack with metal poles to make it more stable. I hope you enjoy the picture as much as I enjoyed wearing the costume.
