Every year the Hospital I work at has a Halloween Costume Contest. So this year 2009 we decided to do Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, even though the movie hadn’t came out yet. So by looking at the pictures on the internet we assigned each character to each person that worked in the Lab.
So we have The Mad Hatter, Alice, Tweedle Dee & Dum, the Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat, & the Queen of Hearts. Needless to say we won. Each homemade Alice in Wonderland costume was made by hand including the cat’s head. It was made from using fiberglass & cheesecloth, painted on an inflatable ball, once dried I deflated the ball and had a round head. I then took a hard hat (so it would sit on top of my head) & glued it on the head, painted xmas ornaments for the eyes, bought fake fur glued around the head, and then spray painted the fur to give it the touches of the cat.
