One of our favorite drinks is AW Diet Rootbeer, so when my 10 year old asked for a Halloween costume I thought a AW Rootbeer Soda Can Costume would be a fun costume.
I bought White vinyl material, a large piece of Cardboard for the top of the can, Silver Spray Paint and Silver Duct Tape. I bought some cans and bottles of AW Rootbeer. I cut the can top out of the Cardboard so I knew how much Vinyl material I would need for the can. I used the store bought product to copy the images and blow them up. I cut them out and glued them to the White Vinyl. I even used the Nutritional labeling on the side.
I spray painted the can top with the silver paint then taped the vinyl material onto the top. Don’t forget to cut a hole in the top for your head to poke through. I also cut slits on the side for her hands. I also made her a “straw” hat out of Posterboard.
It was a hit at the school parade and local Halloween contest.
