Coolest DIY Beetlejuice Costume Idea

We looked high and low for a Beetlejuice costume that wasn’t the usual Black and white striped suite, to no avail, so my boyfriend and I set about making our own Homemade Beetlejuice Costume. We decided to create the first Beetlejuice when he first appears to the dead couple.

Firstly the wig. The usual Beetlejuice wigs are too big, there’s always too much hair, so we found one online which just needed scruffing up and sprayed the edge of the wig with green hairspray. To create the balding forehead we used a bald cap which we covered in white face paint as with my boyfriends face. The edges again we filled in with green face paint like the moss on Beetlejuice.

I painted the eyes with purple face paint and black which I also put on the eyebrows to create the arch like Michael Keating’s.

My boyfriend let his stubble grow for a few days which also added to the character. The shirt the trench coat and the teeth were all purchased online.

I think the outcome was great and it didn’t cost more than 30.00 GBP for the whole lot!
