I built this Big Bird costume in about three months. I used chicken wire for the body, a globe for the head and a piolon for the beak! I decided to make this costume because its just never been done right. Hope you like!

How did you make the legs?
I made it out of orange felt and fury pink fabric!
how come it took you that long to make your suit but it only took about a month to make the real big bird suit? I’m just thinking out loud because i wanted to make a replica big bird.
how did you make the eyes?
The eyes were made out of a large Styrofoam balls cut in half and then painted
and it took me that long because I worked on it here and there and was just winging it without a real plan. As i went along I found new ideas. :)
what kind of fabric did u use?
how did you get the wire to stay on the body
I Used a furry/fluffy yellow fabric so it looked like feathers; and I attached it just buy sewing it to fit that shape and rolled it on.
the neck stopped it from going down and it was also pretty tight against the wire.
oh that’s how it works. well could you send me some pictures or just make a diagram of how you made it? i understand what you are saying but its not enough info, so i don’t mean to be annoying if i am, it’s just that i’ve been wanting to make a costume like yours for a while but i’ve never come around to doing it. if you dont have pics or a diagram than could you send me a set of steps/directions used to make this big bird?

That Big Bird Costume is so cool.. it is perfect…so is the globe heavy to have on your head or what? or is the globe on your head? i am confused… can you tell me how you designed it in more detail? Please! or if you make one i will purchase!
How did you use your chicken wire. Did you sculpt it in layers? Does it bend easily whenever you where the costume or does it bounce back? Oh and could you please send me the diagram/blueprint of how you made this because I’m planning to make a big bird replica myself.
