It all started on Allie’s 1st birthday on September 4th…
Grandmom Joan gave her a black & white Dalmatian spotted coat as one of her gifts. Right away, I thought, “Allie will look like Cruella from 101 Dalmatians when she wears this!”
A few weeks later, I was looking to buy a cute costume online for my baby girl’s 2nd Halloween. When my husband saw what I was doing, he said, “I thought you were going to make a costume out of the coat that my mom gave her for her birthday?!”
I immediately stopped looking for store-bought costumes, and I started looking at pictures of Cruella online. I knew I needed to at least have half black, half white hair for Allie.
I paired the coat with a black dress that I bought on eBay. I glued some red marabou feathers around the ruffles of the dress. I bought some black tights and red boots. And, then I went on a search for the hair. I found a “Don King” baby wig online, ordered it, then had my husband spray paint it half black. It was perfect! I threw in a few stuffed Dalmatian toys, and I had the cutest Cruella on the block!
