Cool Cruella DeVille Homemade Halloween Costume

My daughter loves 101 Dalmatians, so this year she asked if she could have a Homemade Cruella DeVille Halloween Costume. I went to the store and bought a cape pattern and all the material to make the cape in a Dalmatian print. The cape had a red satin lining and black fur trim on the neck and the bottom of the cape.

My dear friend from work helped me sew the cape. I bought the black velvet dress on eBay and it already had fur trim on the sleeve and neck. I also bought the red gloves for little girls on eBay. The wig and cigarette holder was purchased at a costume shop. I also put black feathers in her hair on the white side just to give it a little glam.

For the finishing touches I bought 3 little Dalmatian dogs at Jo-Ann Fabrics and pinned them to the back of her cape and one to a black purse I had. She won first place this year in the story book category for this costume. It was a lot of fun to make and she loved wearing it.
