Coolest Homemade Davy Jones Costume

I made this Homemade Davy Jones Costume for my grandson, who was 12. It was Davey Jones, from the Pirates of the Caribbean. We used an old pirate costume and hat, but added a bunch of tattered pieces tied around the arms and body.

He wore a pair of black boots, and we added a sword with belt. I made a lobster claw to wear over one hand. The difficult part was making the tentacles. I sewed long pieces of panty hose, which tapered at the end, and stuffed them with cotton. I then attached all of them together so that they would sit on his head and cover his face.

We topped it off with a pirate’s hat. Surprisingly enough, he won for scariest costume!
