I got my inspiration for my “Dead Head in the Freezer’ costume from various sites including yours. It was a big hit on the night.
Here is how we made it:
1)We got a cardboard box, bent it into shape and hot-glued it together
2)We then put a foam piece for the top.
3)We spray painted it all white, including the inside.
4)We cut and made freezer doors.
5)To make the handles, we wrapped cardboard in foil then glued them on.
6)Next we spray-painted the top inside as well as the shelves.
7)We used foam for the door shelves and put blobs of red paint all over it.
8)In order to wear/carry the costume, we placed rope inside with padding for the shoulders. To cover that up we used some ‘Happy Halloween’ tape to hide it.
9)Finally we went mad decorating it: we filled urine specimen bottles with yellow jello and used an old egg carton in which we placed plastic eyeballs. To hide the hole for the wearer’s head, we used red crêpe paper.
Additional decorative items:
•pen blood syringes
•flies
•rats
•spiders
•cobwebs
•a hand at the door
•nail through her head
•candy blood bags
•ghoulish candy body parts
•rubber body parts on ‘meat trays’ (we got them from a butcher).
