My husband is a huge Dog the Bounty Hunter fan and he thought that would be a good idea for a costume. I went along and decided we would do a couple costume and I would be Beth. Everybody loved our Homemade Dog the Bounty Hunter and Beth Chapman Costumes and definitely was the hit of the party.
We found most items at Wal-Mart (wigs, gloves, handcuffs, tank top, balloons, bra, black jeans, and sunglasses). The badges I found at the Dollar Store but they have badges at Wal-Mart too (in party section). I outlined the badges in black foam board and glued them together, then tied them to silver string. For Dog’s mullet wig, I had to tease it and put lots of hairspray to form the shape of Dog’s hair and hot glued feathers from a dream catcher (dollar store) to it. For the Dog logos I used white sticky foam board ($1.00 at craft store) and traced the logo, cut it out and stuck them to the shirts.
I used balloons to stuff my over sized bra and they didn’t pop all night. I owned the jeans, bandanna, and boots so Beth’s costume cost me only $15. Dog’s costume cost a little over $30 but was worth every penny. I hope you enjoy!
