This costume was made for my son’s 2nd Halloween. He was 15 months old at the time. My husband is a master electrician so I thought it would be cute to make an electrical outlet costume for our son. My Mom and I bought cheap black fabric at the store along with white and one piece of gold/yellow felt. Here is how we made the costume:
Made a sack type design for the black portion of the fabric. It was put on like a “sandwich board.” We then made the plug-ins with the white material. We used the gold/yellow felt to make a button in between the two plugs. Not shown in the pic’ is the back of the costume. We asked my husband about the wiring combination and used craft rope in the colors of the wires (usually green, red and white) and placed them where they should be on the back. (Sorry, I cant remember exactly.)
This costume was a real hit and super easy to make! My son wore a black turtleneck and black sweatpants!
That is unique! Wish I could see the back – he must have been very cute.
