My homemade Female Pirate costume is directly based on the Jack Sparrow character from “Pirates of the Caribbean”.
My outfit was made from material I had from other homemade costumes. The belts were made from old strips of material and the buckle from cardboard, with foil wrapped around it and painted. The rings were made from old black rope, wrapped and tied around my fingers and then glued with gems.
My pistol is made from old nunchucks I had; I cut and glued them together, glued on old metal pieces and gems, and then painted the handle brown. I used boots I had. The beads in my hair were from an old bracelet; I cut the beads and glued a quarter on the end. I made the compass from a box which I cut, glued and painted; the top is from the bottom of a nunchuck. The skeleton necklace was made from baked clay and painted.

I like the idea of using old or used materials. the costume looks great and I like the idea that a women is willing to dress up as a male character from a film. It looks just like the character GREAT JOB.
