Coolest Homemade Flying Monkey Cat Costume

My children decided they wanted the family to do the Wizard of OZ theme this year for Halloween. We certainly did not want to leave the cat out of the Halloween festivities (or at least not the pictures). The girls wanted him to be a flying monkey.

For this homemade Flying Monkey cat costume I used a baby hat that the girls had outgrown years ago and turned it inside out so that the gray material showed. My daughters drew the design from the movie around the hat. For the vest we used a piece of gray material that use to be a leg of an old pair of sweatpants. I put 2 holes for his front legs and the girls drew the design on it.

For the wings we purchased a pair of red wings from the Dollar Store. Our cat has a nice long tail so we let this be the monkey’s tail. Since we love our cat, we did not make him wear his costume for very long, but it did make for some fun photos.
