My son William, age 6, has been infatuated with The Money icon from Geico for about a year. He went to the Baltimore Boat Show last Fall and met Ms. Geico who signed a poster for him. He fell in love with Geico at that time and has been obsessed with it ever since. He asked us at that time if he could be The Money guy for Halloween.
My Mother-in-law and husband have been working on the Homemade Geico Money Costume now for about a month. They used Styrofoam for the body, covering it with paper and painting it to look like the $5 bills. They used empty white clocks with black painted free floating CD disks for the eyes. A hole in the middle allows my son’s head to come up through the costume which sits on his shoulders.
As you can see it is a very realistic costume. My son, William loves his homemade Geico costume.
VERY VERY Nice, but looks like it could be a pain to wear for a whole night.
Jennifer-
This costume is great! Can you ask your husband how they made the Styrofoam body?
Thanks!
