This Ghost Buster costume took some work, but it turned out really good. My son won our local costume contest.
We first found the coveralls at Goodwill and a military style belt at the army surplus store. Those were the only things we had to buy for the costume.
I used a Ghost Buster web site to get detailed pictures of the items. I printed out the Ghost Busters logo and his last name on iron on material to put on the coveralls.
We just found and made trinkets, switches and buttons, painted them silver and black, and glued them on. He used an old back pack and we painted it and added an old vacuum hose, and some buttons and switches.
The ghost trap is just a painted box with a hose attached and switches added. The “ecto goggles” are and old pair of welding goggles his dad had in the garage. I used a film canister and an M & M Minis canister for the front.
Making this Ghost Buster costume was so much fun and my son was the life of the party. He even had a small player with a speaker playing the “Who ya gonna call??” theme music.
So many details! I’m impressed!
cool
this is super cute
Wow good for your looks wonderful!
Has your son outgrown this? Would you be into selling it?
Yours is way nicer then the bought ones, my son wants to be this this year so I have been looking a bit online, but I just can’t make my own.
