My husband and I had a really hard time thinking up a costume last year, but we decided at the last minute to be a Greek God and Goddess. We went to WalMart and bought white sheets, leaves from the floral section, and gold rope from the craft section. When we got home, we cut the sheets and draped them over ourselves and pinned them where necessary.
My husband wore a plain white t-shirt under his. We added the gold rope as accents. Then we used a hot glue gun to adhere the leaves to a headband for my husband, and I used bobby pins to secure the gold leaves in my hair. We also wrapped leaves around the sleeves on my husband’s shirt. I had a gold necklace and I removed the charm to put it on my homemade Greek costume.
Overall, this was a super easy and relatively cheap costume!
