This year I decided to go all out and create a great movie icon costume, calling it Han Solo frozen in Carbonite.
It started with a wooden frame held together with screws and nails. I was initially going to make it out of foam, but decided it had to be really sturdy in order to take it out and about. The lights on the side are powered by C batteries. I used Christmas lights for this effect.
The front is made with cloth, foam wrapped in aluminum foil and silver duck tape. The foam was left over from the other costumes I had created. The backside has an opening to get into and handles on the side for me to carry it. I can see through the eyes and talk through the mouth. It was fun to create this.
Another note to add is that I was dressed as Han Solo while inside, so, when I stepped outside the costume, I was in character. Hope you all like this. A Star Wars’ fan forever!
INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!
