We have 19 month old triplets and wanted to do some sort of theme costumes with them this year. We actually purchased the hamburger costume and thought it would be fun to dress them as a McDonald’s Happy Meal. I was unable to find the fries and drink costumes, so I set out to make them.
We made the fries out of a diaper box, covered in red butcher paper and then cut foam pieces into fry shapes. We then spray-painted them yellow. For the drink costume, we bought a macramé ring at the craft store and sewed the top of the white fabric around the ring. We then added some sheer white on top and cut slits to resemble the straw slots on the lid of the drink. For the hat, we took a paper plate and glued an empty pixie stix candy holder on top.
As a family, we added to the Happy Meal theme. My husband threw together a Superman costume with odds and ends around the house and covered himself in old mattress plastic to become the “Boy toy” in the Happy Meal. My 5 year old daughter was the princess “Girl toy” and I dressed as a McDonald’s worker with a black polo shirt, pants and made a name tag on the computer. I also printed a logo to tape over the previous logo on the black hat. I then topped it off with a fake headset bought at the Party store. I even had a McDonald’s employee ask if I worked there.
Anyway, the Homemade Happy Meal Triplets Halloween Costume Ideas were a hit with all of our friends and neighbors. It was just very difficult getting a good picture with the triplets together, so here’s the best I could get.
I love, Love , Love these costumes? R u selling them? MY triplets will also be 19 months old by halloween
