This homemade Head on a Platter Halloween costume was a last-minute decision but was a big hit. We made the costume in about half an hour for less than $10.
The table is made out of a cardboard box and a plastic tablecloth. We purchased plastic dishes, platter, cutlery and accessories for the table decorations. All the items were hot-glued to the table. The knife and blood were left over from other costumes. Although not everyone understood that she wasn’t a “table”, those who knew what she was thoroughly enjoyed the idea. In fact, she scored extra candy for trick or treating because of the idea.
Thanks to your website for some cool ideas!
Was there a hole in the bottom of the bowl, with a bucket glued underneath? I’d think that the candy would fall out of the bowl in transit if you just had people put the candy in the bowl normally.
