This Homemade Head on a Table Unique Halloween Costume Idea is such a fun costume! My daughter won 3 local costume contests and was the hit of the neighborhood she went trick or treating in. You will need to start with a medium to large box. Cut a hole in the top for the head. I also cut out holes on the side like handles to make it easier for her to carry. I covered it with black felt material to cover it like a table cloth. I also bought red felt and scalloped the edges to look like a tablecloth dripping blood.
We attached 2 plates, 2 goblets, 2 dessert cups, and the silverware. We decorated the table with spiders, mice, eyeballs, and black roses. I glued everything on with a hot glue gun. Everything held incredibly well. It even passed the rude kid that tries to pull stuff off of your costume test.
We finished her up with a knife through the head, attached to headband and a little fake blood. She looked great!
