This year I wanted to be something different from everybody, but scary at the same time. I decided to make a Homemade Headless Bride Costume.
I had an old mannequin that I used in order to sell clothes on eBay. I bought an old wedding dress for $25.00 at the Goodwill store, cut a hole in the dress where the belly would be and put it on the mannequin. I then added long white gloves and stuffed them with pillow stuffing that I bought at Wal-Mart for $2.00. I pinned the arms to the shoulders and pinned one of the hands where my head would come out of the hole.
To hold it up on me, I used one belt and strapped it over one shoulder as you would carry news- papers. I bought some fake blood at my local Halloween store and put it on the neck and on top of the dress area so it looked as if my head was cut off; I then painted my face. AWESOME!
That’s it! I won best costume at my work. It was easy and so much FUN!
