We created my son’s Homemade Headless Costume with help from submissions to this website. We used an old rolling backpack we had around the house, a pool noodle for the arms, Styrofoam from my husbands work, lots and lots of duck tape, a wire coat hanger, an empty bread crumb container with cotton balls glued to the top, paint, and fake blood. We had work pants with a big waist that we put up over the back of the back pack and then we used elastic to make a kind of suspender to keep them up. We attached a good coat hanger to the top of the back pack and built the body on that. Cost was under $5.00.
As you can see the finished product was awesome. Everyone that saw him said it was the best costume of the night. I have always made him costumes and they are cool but I think the headless man is the neatest thing ever. He was so excited to make it and wear it. Thanks for all the good pics and descriptions for helping create this excellent costume.
