My homemade Headless Zombie Bride costume was made with some old net curtains and a few balloons, newspapers and paint.
I built a torso to sit above me and hold my beheaded head. I blew up three balloons, formed them into an upside-down triangle and wrapped them in newspaper and glue. I then added a smaller balloon for the neck. Once the glue had set, I was able to paint the torso.
The arms were made from scrunched-up newspaper which was stuffed into the net curtains and sewn up on the sides. I then wrapped a bed sheet around my body which reached to the ground.
I draped over and sewed some of the net curtain to the sheet, making it look more like a wedding dress.
I attached hangers to the back to hold the torso up while it was on my back, and sewed it all to a bag, which I carried on my back under the dress.
With some backcombed hair and a drop of face paint, I completed the look and had a
very happy Halloween.
