Coolest Homemade Jack Skellington Child Costume

I have a 4 year old who has wanted to be Jack since last year, after watching “The Nightmare before Christmas”. I looked EVERYWHERE for a costume to buy one. I could not find one!! They are all for ADULTS.

SO we had to make our own homemade Jack Skellington child costume. I came here to get some ideas and there are PLENTY! Thanks to everyone!!

We used paper Mache and a balloon to make the mask, cut out eye hole and nose (x-acto knife), we used black felt and glue for the face (mouth & eyebrows), we also used black felt and cardboard for the bat tie. We were going to cover the eye holes with a see-thru black material, but decided to just paint he’s face (around eyes) black on Halloween. This way he will be able to see clearly (safety reasons).

We got a hand-me-down suit from a cousin (shhhh!) and taped it and spray painted white lines on it. We still have to fix it a little but it still looks good. EVERYTHING came out great!! I had to hide it from him so he won’t want to wear it EVERYDAY!! He can’t wait until Halloween!!
