Coolest Homemade Joker and Mime Costumes

I decided to dress up as the Joker from Batman the Dark Knight and my boyfriend as a mime. The Joker is my all time favorite villain. For the Joker costume, I used green hair dye, red, white, and black face paint, and old clothes. The old clothes I used were purple slacks, a purple suit jacket, blue shirt, green tie, green vest, and purple gloves. I also added an old cane to give it a little more character.

I had already done these Homemade Joker and Mime Costumes for homecoming the previous year, so I was able to do it again and improve upon it. Most of the clothes came from Goodwill, my own closet, or my mom’s closet. I even waited until after Halloween to get my hair cut so that it’d be the proper length.

For the mime costume, we used clothes (black pants, black shirt, white gloves), black and white face paint, and a beret. While I was painting my boyfriend’s face, he was complaining about how feminine he felt (he was wearing makeup and my mom’s black shirt). It was funny.

Total spent was about $20 for both costumes.
