Well first of all it was an awesome idea by my sister and since she was away on holidays she suggested that I become Katy Perry California Gurl with Cupcakes & whipped cream and all.
For this homemade Katy Perry California Girls costume I started by ordering plush cupcakes online so that I could stitch them to a tank top that I purchased at Value Village. I had some old jean shorts around so I bought some spray adhesive and some blue sparkles and bam that gave me my blue sparkle shorts. I also bought a headband and attached it too this styrofoam heart that I bought at Michaels. We painted it blue and then sprayed it with adhesive and put the rest of the sparkles on.
This homemade Katy Perry California Girls costume was easy and so much fun because I carried 2 whipping cream cans around with me all night. The only downfall was leaving sparkles everywhere but it was so much fun being her! I hope I made her proud :o)
