The Homemade KISS Demon Costume itself took about 7 days to be fully completed. First poster board is used to create the shape of the boots, chest and shoulder plates. Duct tape holds it all together.
Then several layers of papermache are applied ( allowing drying time between layers) to get the desired shape and detail. Painting gets a little tricky. First aluminum spray paint is applied and allowed to dry. Then black spray paint is applied and wiped off to create the desired effect. This had to be done several times.
The makeup took an hour and half to apply. Throw on a wig and spandex and the outfit is complete.
