This year I decided to dress as “Gene” and included my son as (ACE) and my nephew as (Paul). I made all three costumes myself, the only store bought item was Gene’s boots. I saw Kiss in NYC in 1978 and then again years later with my son in 2003. So we are a KISS Army at its best.
I worked on this Homemade Kiss Gene Simmons Group Costume idea for about 2 months, not everyday but about 5 hours a week. I think it is important to start early as you consistently will have new ideas, places to go shop at and wait for items from on-line ie. unitards, and boots, make-up.
It was so much fun going out with my son and nephew, we entered a contest and won! But just seeing all the hard work come to life was all worth it, I am actually gonna miss not working on these costumes.
