Link is the hero from the Legend of Zelda which my son is obsessed with. I made the fairy on his shoulder from a Styrofoam ball, the shield is the Hyrule Shield made from fun foam and cardboard. The tunic I made and bought long underwear for underneath. I made the Gauntlets for his arms and legs out of Vinyl and bought a couple of old belts at the Goodwill store. Under the leg gauntlets are a pair of work boots and the hat is a simple pair of triangles sewn together.
This Homemade Link from the Legend of Zelda Costume was a pretty easy costume to put together. What didn’t work were the point elf ears that I bought but my son hated the feel of them. What did work was the colored hairspray. He has almost black hair and I think this did the job nicely.
