My son Nicholas is all about baseball and my son and my husband decided to make him a Living Baseball Statue for Halloween. I bought an old baseball uniform a plastic wooden looking bat and cleats at yard sales for a couple of bucks and my husband used bronze spray paint with gold highlights to paint the uniform bat and cleats. For makeup my husband contacted a local theatre company who suggested bronze and gold face make-up as well.
Overall it would have been very inexpensive if my husband didn’t spray paint my son’s current pair of baseball cleats. Of course my son wouldn’t wear them to a game after they were painted and who could blame him.
Children of employees get to come and trick-or-treat where I work and every few seconds I kept telling my son to pose for everyone like in the picture. The Homemade Living Baseball Statue Halloween Costume Idea was a HUGE hit!
