Coolest Homemade Lucy and Ricky Costume

Lucy’s outfit is an old black strapless 50’s style dress and I put a black cap sleeve t-shirt underneath. I had a polka-dot and eyelet apron in my closet and it worked great. I also bought a pair of polka dot heels for $10 off a small mall store clearance rack.

I looked at pictures of Lucy’s hair online and styled mine accordingly and used hair spray paint from the party store, but make sure you have to have someone help you spray it on. Of course red lipstick and a mischievous look always help (by the way, don’t expect the hair paint to wash out right away; mine was pink for a couple days). My Ricky wore an old suit he borrowed from a cousin and carried around some bongos.

It cost $10 for the shoes and $3 for the hair paint. It took hardly any time to put together, but the hair took at least 1.5 hours.
