One year, my friend Liz and I had waited a little too long to buy a Halloween costume. We were going to a party, and obviously wanted to look a little bit sexy… but neither of us wanted to spend $60.00 on one of those “sexy fill-in-the-blank” costumes. 1) A huge waste of money and 2) We live in Wisconsin and didn’t want to freeze.
So we came up with LUMBERJACKS! Or “Lumber-Jills” to be exact.
We went to Walmart and bought… steel-toed boots, a red & black plaid flannel long sleeve, and black suspenders. We added jeans and side braids. I found a toy chainsaw at home and we also posed with a real axe for our pictures. We left our shirts a little unbuttoned to add to the sex appeal.
Needless to say, our homemade lumberjack costumes were a big hit!
