We are poor college students, so we wanted to do our Homemade Mario and Luigi Couple Halloween Costume for cheap. Instead of buying overalls that we would never wear again, we took some old jeans and cut them up to make the overall fronts.
We bought our hats for about eight dollars and just added the letters ourselves. We found some gloves for under two dollars at Target, which I think added a nice detail. The mustaches were from a package that my brother had lying in his room. The shirts and jeans we already owned. We also had a Peach and Toad dress up and follow us around, but unfortunately, there are not any pictures of all four of us.
They might not be the most professional looking costumes, but I think they get the point across without hurting our bank accounts. We definitely got a lot of approving comments from everyone we saw!
