Coolest Homemade Modern Flintstones Family Halloween Costume

Here we have a modern updated Sparkly version of Fred, Wilma, Pebbles, Bam-Bam and Dino from the Flintstones Family. My oldest daughter Kayla was having some Fruity Pebbles for breakfast one day recently and said, “Mom, Kaylei (our middle daughter) looks just like Pebbles and I look just like a girl version of Bam-Bam! We should be the Flintstones family for Halloween!”

We went from there to the fabric store, and used a couple of ideas from this site. Our Homemade Modern Flintstones Family Halloween Costume was made mostly out of a heavy fleece to keep us warm. The girls tutu’s were knot tied around an elastic band 2-3 inches smaller than their waist size to allow for stretching and to make them poofy. All spots and marks were cut out of black felt and tacky glued on, the girls costumes were detailed with glitter glue and rhinestones. The special part about our costumes was that I could not find any Dino costumes for infants so I purchased a plush stuffed animal and gutted the insides and extended the fabric for our smallest daughter Kylei to wear.

The funniest part about our Halloween was that when we showed up to our family party, we ran into my boyfriends cousin and her boyfriend and they were dressed as Barney and Betty. We had the whole Flintstones Crew! They had no idea what we were dressing up as and I thought that was pretty neat as well.
