This year was my son’s first Halloween going to school. He wanted something unique but really likes mummies. My first thought was “ok mummies are boring costumes” but I wanted him to dress as something he’d like, so went ahead and went with the Homemade Mummy Halloween Costume.
I didn’t know what kind of material to use since I’m not a very good sewer. His first idea was to wrap himself in toilet paper. We decided to go with manta, we first made the body suit and mask which by the way was VERY hard but not impossible. Then we tore strips of the fabric which worked good because when you would tear it, it had like a old look to it. We must of tore like 100 strips of fabric.
After that we glued them on with some glue. I gotta say I’m very proud of it. I have a new respect for mummies. Happy Halloween!
