Cool Homemade Outhouse Costume

Man oh man. I put a lot of work into this Homemade Outhouse Costume!. I think it looks great. Everywhere we went, people were taking pictures of my son.

This is how I constructed this cool Outhouse costume for my son:

I got a big cardboard box from my job, and cut it up. The first piece I made was the actual outhouse. I put it together with duct tape. The roof is silver to get that tin-roof look, and even has a vent tube. I spray-painted the box brown and took a black Sharpie pen and drew wood lines and knots outside and inside. I cut a moon in the back, and hung a light and air freshener inside.

I used rope and pipe insulation for the straps. After my son put on the straps which are similar to those of a backpack, the second piece is put in. The second piece has the fake legs hanging over the cardboard and Velcrod on. The legs were made of hose and fiberfill and around the ankles were the pulled down shorts and underwear. My son carried a Dr Fart noise-maker and the comics section of the newspaper.

We had a ball!
