Coolest Homemade Paul Stanley Starchild Costume

My husband is a huge KISS fan so he decided to go in a Homemade Paul Stanley Starchild Costume for a party we were invited to attend. We went to the thrift store and found an old leather vest and some shiny spandex pants. I bought some ladies platform boots at a discount store for $10 (he was able to wear a 10.5 ladies shoe) and we used silver tape on the heels and added some chain we purchased from Home Depot.

We also added the silver stars to the pant legs along with silver pipings to the side of the pants and added silver star embellishments (from Joanne Fabrics) to the vest. Found the leather neck collar really cheaply, even got a fake tatto like Paul has and pained his fingernails black.

Got the wig from Party City along with the make-up. Borrowed the guitar from a neighbor. This entire costume couldn’t have cost more than $30! It was such a hit, he won the costume contest. He even did a MOCK concert for the neighbors on Halloween night and our other neighbor dressed up as Ace Freehely. They lip psyched 3 KISS songs on our driveway and our other neigbor used his fog machine and strobe light for special effect. It was hysterical! I was his “rocker chic” in leather.
