My husband loves pigs in a blanket, which gave us the idea for this homemade pig in a blanket costume. We love homemade costumes with original ideas that no-one else will have! My sister was in college and didn’t have much money to spend on a costume and this was a very good penny pincher costume!
She bought pink pants and a pink shirt from Goodwill. For the nose, we got a little necklace out of one of those machines outside Walmart, because it came in one of those clear plastic containers. We painted the container pink and poked holes in the side to put fishing line through for the nose. Then we drew nostrils on there as well.
Then she wrapped a blanket around her. It would probably be easier to wear a snuggie, as far as keeping your hands free, but this was presnuggie days. We weren’t sure if everyone would know what she was- but every single person got it right off the bat! Everyone loved it! It was hilarious!
