After much discussion and debate about what to be this Halloween, I finally decided to turn myself into a pineapple. Of course, it was much easier said than done.
This Homemade Pineapple Costume was made with a foam mattress pad hot-glued to six foam pipe insulators (apparently you can’t buy pool noodles in the fall). Green, brown and yellow spray paint was used on the outside of the foam mattress pad. I also cut spikes out of bright yellow craft foam and hot- glued them on the outside.
The top was created with poster board, wire and even more hot glue. Once the top was totally assembled, I spray painted the entire thing green. Oh yeah, I wore a green beanie with more poster board spikes as well.
