Coolest Homemade Playgirl Magazine Cover Costume

I’m not exactly sure how I came about this Homemade Playgirl Magazine Cover Costume but let me tell you, it was a hit! It does take a little bit of work but it is well worth the time you put in.

First, I started by having a (very close) friend take a picture of myself in front of a solid colored wall. I took the picture in front of a solid colored wall because when using the computer program Adobe Photoshop, it is easy to crop out solid colored objects. After cropping out the background on Photoshop, I added the yellow background that you can see and then threw in some text (I found the playgirl style font on dafont.com).

Once all of my text was in place, I saved my project to a CD, took it to Fedex Kinkos and had them print the biggest poster they possibly could. When I returned home, I mounted the poster onto a piece of posterboard to create the cover, this cover with 2 other pieces of posterboard. The one that was meant to be the spine was cut down to be just larger than the width of my body in order to fit me inside. I then duct taped the 3 pieces of posterboard together, thus creating my magazine! I even wrote my biography on the inside cover!
