Coolest Homemade Predator Boy Halloween Costume

Here’s our 2010 submission of my 9 year old son’s Halloween costume… he’s been a fan of the Predator movies and since seeing the previews and now knowing the DVD is out… decided that that’s what he wanted to do this year. So… after 4 weeks and 30 hours of prep and a lot of patience… He is ready to tear it up at the Rio Grande Zoo Boo.

For those that are curious about the construction. Here’s what is involved and where I got it –

Hobby Lobby: 20 sheets EVA foam

Home Depot: 1 can silver spray-paint
1 quart can contact cement
12 foam brushes
2 door springs
1 aluminum strap 36″x2″x1/8″

Walmart: 1 blue bedroll (sporting goods)
3 red key-chain lasers
(set of 12 strung LED lights from old sales display)

Dollar Store: 1 Pair sunglasses
1 Pair “knight’s gauntlets”

Hancock fabrics: 5/8″ cotton “rope” for upholstery

Stuff from around the house: Pill bottles, elastic straps and Velcro scabbed from old athletic equipment…..

So there you have it! Hope you all like it!
