The year I was pregnant for Halloween my work chose Alice in Wonderland (with some nudges from me) as our theme. I wanted to be two people in one, so who better than Twiddle Dum and Twiddle Dee! This Pregnant Twiddle Dum and Twiddle Dee Costume was pretty easy to put together.
I found an awesome clown like hat at the Halloween store. The pants I found at the goodwill. I bought pants that were a size bigger so I would have room to move all night. I also rolled the pant legs up and stitched them so they were short pants. I bought a pair of striped knee high socks and some suspenders (you can find these almost anywhere.) Colors don’t matter much, it’s up to you and what you like or what is available. Shoes can be whatever you like. I had to wear my work shoes.
For the tee shirt, I just bought a plain white one from Hobby Lobby. To paint the babies’ costume, I put the shirt on and with a pen I marked the top and sides of my belly so I’d know where to draw. I cut out a circle of paper that fit on the space that I marked, and drew a draft of what I wanted the baby to look like. Once I finished the drawing I cut it a part to use it as a stencil. I traced it all on and painted it to match my outfit.
This costume cost about $15 and was a big hit!
