How’d I make this homemade rainbow Halloween costume idea? The front and back were a foam mattress pad, cut in half and sewed at the top and side seams. 7 cans of spray paint carefully blended make the rainbow. Polyfill (pillow stuffing) was the perfect material for fluffy clouds, but it wasn’t all that willing to stay in place. I clumped polyfill into volleyball-sized poofs, sprayed with a light coating of spray adhesive and let dry. I attached the cloud puffs to the foam rainbow with a more liberal coat of spray adhesive. Leftover foam served as the base for cloud shoes that covered my sneakers with more polyfill on top.
